楽しみに待っていた商品が届いたのですが、外箱も缶も潰れてしまっていました。10年前に購入した際は外側に包装紙があったのですが、（今回の簡易な梱包を見て）正直とてもショックを受け、悲しい気持ちになりました。

I discovered Fukujuen store when I was on holiday in Kyoto in 2024. I bought Banjo no mukashi and Eisho no mukashi. Now, back in France, it's my go-to matchas for usucha. As for Banjo no mukashi, it has the more balanced flavours and the roundest umami. A must.

I visited the Fukujuen Tea Factory in person and only grabbed matcha sticks and loved it---so I finally branched out and ordered more varieties online, and I'm not disappointed.
The Banjo works beautifully with milk as a latte and without---the flavor profile is very balanced, with no noticeable astringency. Froths into a creamy foam when whisked. Very vivid and bright green color, and smells earthy and slightly sweet. You can absolutely taste the dedication and care in producing this matcha powder. I will be back (if not in person!)

The quality and fineness of the powder is excellent. I drink this Japanese ceremony style daily using a bamboo whisk to make it super foamy. The taste is soft and delicate with no bitterness. I am consistently impressed with many of Fukujuen products. As a serious Japanese green team aficionado for many years, I find that Fukujuen teas are serious about their quality and without the hype and marketing glitz of brands like Ippodo.
