This Matcha is made by grinding Tencha—the raw material for Matcha—with a traditional stone mill. By blending Tencha with a fresh, leafy aroma reminiscent of new greenery, it achieves a well-balanced flavor that combines deep umami and sweetness with a subtle refreshing note. Its vivid blue-green hue shines beautifully in the tea bowl. Suitable for tea ceremony, this Matcha is ideal for preparing both Koicha (thick tea) and Usucha (thin tea).

How to Prepare (Hot Usucha):

  1. Add 2g (about 2 teaspoons) of Matcha to a tea bowl.

  2. Pour in 60ml of 80°C water.

  3. Whisk briskly with a chasen until frothy.

How to Prepare (Hot Koicha):

  1. Add 4g (about 4 teaspoons) of Matcha to a tea bowl.

  2. Pour in 15ml of 80°C water.

  3. Dissolve the powder well till there is no lump. 

  4. Add 10ml of 80°C water and dissolve again.

How to Prepare Cold Matcha:

  1. Add 2–3g of Matcha and 50ml of hot water.

  2. Whisk well, then add 2–3 ice cubes.

  3. Enjoy once chilled.

Also great for iced Matcha lattes or a Matcha affogato using a stronger brew.
